The Ultimate Bourne Collection brings the excellent Bourne Trilogy of films to the superior quality of blu-ray! Whilst most trilogy’s peak at their first or second instalment, the Bourne trilogy breaks the trend, with each film improving on the previous.
Included in this blu-ray set are The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. Based on the series of novels by Robert Ludlum, these action packed spy films follow the lead character, Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) a CIA assassin. Going against the trend of the action genre as a whole, the Bourne trilogy focuses on realism over CGI effects, but don’t let this put you off, the high paced intense action is fantastic in blu-ray, keeping you firmly fixed to the edge of your seat!
The Bourne Identity introduces Jason Bourne as he discovers his dangerous skill set, arguably the end of the first instalment lacks focus as it becomes a little confused, but the majority of The Bourne Identity is top-notch. It certainly established the Bourne film franchise for the second and third instalments that follow.
For the second in the Bourne Trilogy director Paul Greengrass (United 93) takes over to deliver The Bourne Supremacy. The intensity takes a few steps up as the high paced action of Supremacy takes the franchise to a new level.
The third instalment to the box set is The Bourne Ultimatum, probably the best of the three Bourne films, and possibly one of the best action movies of the last 20 years. Whilst most films that try fast paced action from beginning to end struggle to keep your attention, The Bourne Ultimatum succeeds, Matt Damon and Director Paul Greengrass are on fantastic form. From the Bourne Collection it’s likely that this will be the film you’ll want to watch again and again.
The only reason not to buy this box set is if you’re waiting for the rumours of the fourth instalment to be realized, and then a box set of all four films, whilst the gossip continues we recommend picking up the Ultimate Bourne Collection to make the most of your blu-ray player!

Bourne for Blu-Ray!!
Awesome box set, the fast action scenes combined with surround sound on blu-ray is fantastic, definitely recommend this box set if you're a fan of action films :)
